There was a huge amount of these posts at the end of 2010 and I have already seen a couple for 2011, so I thought I too would share my favourite layouts from 2011. I was just going to pick a top 10 and then thought I would pick one from each month instead.
January - second monthly sketch at Scrapbook Savvy.
February - Savvy monthly colour challenge. This one was picked up for publication but I forgot to send it in, so never made it to a mag.
March - Kraft It Up
April - Monthly He's Savvy Kit
May - Get Picky sketch challenge
June - Savvy Cybercrop sample
July - Purple Pumpkin monthly sketch
August - Show Us Your Stuff sketch
September - A just because
October - Savvy Cybercrop Blind Scrap
November - Purple Pumpkin design team work
December - Merry Savvy Traditional kit
I created a total of 201 and 7 cards this year. Not too bad considering I was working full time for most of the first 6 months of the year.
I'm not big on making scrappy goals but next year, I would like to:
* Create a little more.
I spend far too much of my available creating time on the computer. I'm hoping to take back my time next year and actually scrap more layouts.
* Submit to the mags.
I always get a little thrill when a) my layout is considered for publication and b) actually in the mag, so to achieve this I need to send more in!
* Enter the Scrapbooking Memories Masters competition.
Not because I want to win (though that would be great), but to actually follow through on what I have been saying for the past couple of years that I would enter.
But you know what, if I follow through on none of those, so long as I am creating, that will be good enough for me. It's not about who can produce the most layouts, who can be published the most or who makes it to Master status. It's about capturing and creating memories for me and my family.
See you in 2012!
